Tamron Adapt-A-Matic 28mm F/2.8 Model PFH-28Au: This lens
was available in four versions. We are not sure if the PFH-28Au model name
applies to all four versions. Initially there was the first model which
featured a relatively large optical layout and a metal knurled focus ring. Then
there was a subsequent model which featured a rubber focus ring. The third
model featured a complete optical redesign, was more compact and featured a
narrower rubber focus ring, and did not have slots on the aperture ring for the
aperture coupling band included with later versions of some Adapt-A-Matic
mounts. The final version of this lens featured the slots for the later style
aperture coupling bands. The first and final versions of this lens are shown
above.
